Setiquette

“I’m not trying to be sexy. It’s just my way of expressing myself when I move around.” - Elvis Presley

Let’s talk about “Setiquette.” I’m Southern, period. Maybe I should end right there? Seriously though, I have manners and I intend to use them. I have a passel of Aunties and Grannies that have guaranteed that. Photo Shoots and Creative Crews have dynamics. When your trusted by Producers, Creative Directors, Photographers, Clients and Brands, you show up on time, prepared, and you do your best. All the time, every minute, every time. There’s no fussing, bitching, complaining, or gossiping. You're there to work, to embody your creativity. To move with the flow, and help to set a course, to blend, to dance, to smile and to listen. To contribute to the creative brief. To offer new ideas, to gracefully do what you're there for. Forward the vision. Creative collaboration. It’s an amazing process, time and again to see a project through, a season, a campaign, a holiday. I witness the dance, where it ruffs up, I smooth. Where it jags, I apply understanding. If it rolls clique’ I blend the circles, see what new shapes and colors I can come up with. I ask questions. I listen. I’m not afraid to invest my heart in my work with folks. I get asked a lot how I’ve done so well since moving to San Francisco, I’d wager this is it. Yes Sir, Yes Ma’am.
